Comments: Kclimbs...I actually don't believe you. The starting hold was non-existent until I pulled in a block and it ripped off and crushed me between it and my crash pad... and the top out had lichen cemented blocks that came off at a few lbs of pressure before I cleaned it. I spent hours making a level landing zone, and although it's not 4 stars, if you would have topped out and grabbed one of those blocks before my landing was made, you would have been hurtled off the top with a 150 lb. block chasing ... more >>

Comments: @Hoboken, this line was sent, and when I went out for a 2nd ascent, I blew a tendon and have thus been out from climbing this whole last year. Lichen doesn't grow fast- it just hasn't seen a lot of traffic.

Comments: This area blows.... I've spent 2-3 years out in this area - scouring EVERYTHING. This area is the biggest let down. SO MUCH potential - and yet it's absolute shit.

MAYBE 3 ok problems in the entire 10 square mile radius. I've searched high and low and damn near dried out in the warmer months pushing around the next bend looking for solid rock.

Believe me when I say NOTHING is here.

Comments: Well, it's obvious the line has been climbed before - why there's no FA info, not like it matters... it's an easier line anyways.

Comments: Hmm.... since it's "proven" that Grand Junction has such "horrible" rock don't y'all think it's odd that it's in the top 3 for MOST ROUTES in Colorado on MP with over 900+ postings for the area? Must be a fluke then, right??? LOL

Comments: F**K this area... the annoying ass hike is not worth the crappy quality of rock. Completely blank faces all over the place - so sad.

ALSO BE CAREFUL!!!!

When I was up last we encountered RATTLESNAKES!

Was scary, be careful when popping your head around corners looking for lines - with how slippery the rock is, it is easy for them to fall down into the cracks and crevices.

Comments: The route has been ruined.... I looked at it yesterday and it's tarnished with epoxy and forged holds, especially the foot hold used for the throw....

Comments: A little contrived? LOL, yeah... considering it's the obvious line right up that part of the boulder, I guess I understand where you're coming from.

And yeah, you start down low, left hand in a sidepull/jug and right hand on a crimp.

Much easier when the temperatures are low.

Comments: The left hand undercling on the starting hold has broken.... It is harder now, since you don't have something to keep you in close while moving on those small crimps.

Comments: That's amazing that you sent it your first go ;)

Not trying to flex nuts here, lol.

And since I have no idea who you are - there is in no way, a possibility, that I could have been referring to you as a showboat (or Loren - not sure why you feel the need to drag him into this). The comment was a friendly stab at some homies who are retarded strong.

NEH made me laugh though with his comment - I've been in his shoes before...head out to a line you think is in your grade level only to ... more >>

Comments: there has to be great climbing in montana... i lived in choteau for a year - where i was introduced to climbing - and there is an awesome crag around there.. lewis and clark national forest is also around there and the god damn rockies cruise straight through there.... I think montana is largely untapped - im thinking of spending a few weeks up there next summer and gonna try to find some more bouldering. It seems like the majority of montana climbers are very old school and mainly trad climbers... more >>

Comments: Sounds like someone got shut down, lol....

I originally rated this V7 when I first cleaned and sent. But due to showboating d bags whining, I dropped the grade and have since decided that a more defined consensus is needed to shut people up. I'll move it up to V6-7, though :)
