Comments: Canazei is a great fairly centralized town to stay in if you want to climb in the Dolomites. We stayed at Casa Maurivan right in town. It was super nice and within short walking distance of a grocery store , restaurants ,and climbing shop. We were there during the off season ,last week of September first week of October , so it was fairly cheap as well. Canazei sits at the base of the Sella pass , if my memory is correct driving times are-
15 min to Piz Ciavazes
20 min to the Sella towers
30 min... more >>

Comments: Climbed this in 2009. One of the best routes I have ever done. The walk off is almost as good as the climb.

Comments: Super fun route. All the gear placements looked marginal, so I skipped them and went from the 2nd to 3rd bolt with nothing. That said, if you can pull the crux at the 2nd bolt, getting to the 3rd should be easy, but if you fall, you could deck. IMO this would be a better climb if a bolt was added. I am just a visitor to the area, so my opinion shouldn't count for much, but thanks, Ken, for all the hard work. My 11 year old came off this climb grinning from ear to ear.

Comments: This is great route, a must do if your in the area. Crux of the route is a 5.12 slab that is well bolted and can be aided easily . You can rap the route with 2 ropes from the last anchors . The rap stations are to the right of the actual climb but easy to find. I would however highly recommend the walk off, it is very easy and amazing!! Just walk to the left at the top of the climb on a well traveled trail.Overall I liked this climb more than the classic yellow wall on the Cima Piccola.

Comments: One of the worst routes I have done in a long time. Full of bird and bat poop with crappy rock. Linked this into the upper pitch which was ok.
