Comments: Climbed On Sept. 15th:

High ice is fallin' and coming down around the Obelisk area. Basically sitting at the first belay stance, I was hit with small stuff (half golfball at the biggest) every 10 minutes or so.
Everything was easy to dodge and honestly not a BIG issue. This was a 11:30 am. After that, all belays were clear of this stuff.

Later in the day, like 4ish. A big chunk fell down (and probably hit the start of the route on Broadway). But I would hope few people would be starting the r... more >>

Comments: Conditions for Saturday Sept. 15th:

Went up to climb The Casual. One of the upper pitches was all filled with snow/ice. Some of it may have fell later that day, but be wary.

We ended up climbing Pervertical which was sweet.

North Chimney had hard ice in places but was totally manageable.

Comments: Hey there,
Left my GriGri 2 up at the base of this route on Aug 10th.

Went up there a few days later and not to be found. If you happened to pick it up I would love to get it back thanks!

Comments: is the first move the crux? Because I did it and it honestly felt like V3 maybe 4 but I also just realized that we had probably a food of snow on the ground, maybe two feet.

Comments: new level of sandbag eh? ever been on Fall Semester? : )
Andrew, looks like it still fits with Brueckners guide description (excepting the grade apparently). Horizontal from Big Mac, 4 star climb, hands/ squezze... 5.9 ish lol
I'll keep tinkering around, but it seems like a match.

Comments: atp- totally agreed, if Brueckners guide is accurate this is definitely NOT Big Mac. BIg Mac would be a few more boulders over, its an even bigger chimney.

Comments: Adam,
If you are looking for a "running name" this could also be referred to as the atlantic boulder, with "America" being the obvious boulder to the left. but ya like you said, no actual historical knowledge, but running names tend to stick.

Comments: not that it really matters, but we did this (and partially cleared it) sometime last season ( at least-pre June), and honestly it was probably done before that, considering it went down sans pads and in approach shoes. Nice photo though! and good work fully clearing it.

the real Eppulator is on the adjacent boulder but facing the road.

Are you sure about that? Hubbard's guide says Lizard's crack is facing north. Seminar wall faces south.

Comments: 1st pitch crux is getting slicker due to people descending from Frenzy.

Upper pitches are SICK! but also sandbagged, thin, and a little vegetated. Go up the corner to another set of rap bolts (pitch 2) up the corner for another pitch (more rap bolts out right). Then cut left of onto the face doing a rising traverse to change corner/crack systerms. This pitch has bomber Rap bolts above the "11c lunge left" (was not a lunge) the remainder of the route looked to vegetated to be worth it.
