Comments: Staying on the arete and not going left or right felt harder than 5.9. I peeled quite a few times and hung on the second bolt trying to work the problem.

Comments: 4/19/08 The first bolt moved up and down when I clipped the draw. I half smiled and LIGHTLY tugged the draw and watched the bolt move up and down in the hole. IMO Scary unsafe. This is a 5.6 and the next bolt is sorta runout from the first, a new leader could deck if they fall and the bolt pulls out. Just sayin'. This is not a loose hanger situation, the shaft of the bolt is moving within the drilled hole. I suspect with the nature of the rock this will get worse if not addressed.

Comments: In the route description it says "Very fun route with thoughtfully placed bolts". My thoughts exactly.

Comments: I liked the trad/sport aspect. Rock quality obviously improves at first bolt. Wish it was longer up there. Thanks for adding a moderate up top.

Comments: Gorg,

Climbed at the Burger Shack today ....take Lincoln Creek Campground road, across bridge...head down about 1/4 mile to a sharp, right, hairpin turn, can't miss it.

Burger Shack trail is on the left, right before the hairpin turn.

Grades? I climbed stuff up to 5.8+ ish...trad or toprope with bolt anchors.

Have fun and be safe.

Comments: As mentioned previously the Falls Trailhead parking lot is the last lot on the left as you enter from the canyon from the route 86 entrance. There is a sign that says " No parking beyond this point" right there on the road. Park, then walk across the road to the trail sign and head up.

It's a lot easier to park here than at the Grocery Store Wall and walk over.

Comments: FYI

The guidebook " Rock Climbing At Vedauwoo, Wyoming " by Robert B. Kelman, published by Heel and Toe Publishers is available at the Englewood CO REI. I just bought one, and there are at least two other copies on the shelf as of about a half hour ago.
