Comments: Climbed last week through pitch 4. My thoughts: we were not willing to do the R start (especially after following a steady trail of blood drops all along the approach to the base of the climb). Rather, we climbed the alternate start (5.9?) through the less than stellar crack to the left (dirty, a little loose, and mediocre gear, R towards the top). This is NOT a crack climb. You will climb some cracks periodically, but the gear is not "plug n play" whenever you want. The climbing is pretty uniqu... more >>

Comments: Climbed this last week and wanted to comment on the approaches. All 3 Handren options are very evident. The first looked like easy climbing (but still climbing) to slabs, so we walked on. We hiked up the 2nd Handren option to drop some gear, and I was terrified. The slabs are very exposed and a no fall zone. Sticky approach shoes recommended! I was more than relieved when a couple at the base showed us the 3rd, "long and slow" option for our ascent the next day. YMMV. Maybe you feel comfortable ... more >>

Comments: As of June 2014, the normal crossing had washed out. A hand line was in place a few minutes upstream. See "area" photos for more detail. As of mid-June 2015, the log bridge was in place across the creek and the approach was nearly snow-free.

Comments: As of mid-June 2015, EP is clean and clear. A solid log bridge is in place across the creek and the approach is nearly snow free. There were still some snow patches on the backside, making for a longer traverse to get to the gully.

Comments: Warning! The beefy anchors above the first pitch of Story of My Life in Jimmywood were missing as of 9/8/12.

Comments: Recently bolted to the cliff top. Still a bit dirty but fun nonetheless. 13 bolts total?

Comments: IMO, extremely disappointing. Jamming the bottom is awkward and tough. The roof is fun. The top is dirty. As for the "Great for the aspiring leader" comment in the DCA, I'd direct aspiring leaders to Prereq or Passages and even some 9s before Sanscrit. I won't repeat.

[Edit:] I did repeat this recently, and was pleasantly surprised. While still not as high quality as the other classic corners (and with its awkwardness and trickiness), it does have some pretty cool moves and variety. Not a good ... more >>

Comments: Harsh...I enjoyed it and didn't have any issues with bolting or drag.
