Comments: Squeezed and contrived 1 star route. Kind of silly when I somehow feel that I need to try and stay off of the holds on the Good Book and Mustard Seed. I could have clipped bolts on those as well during the climbing... classic example of BoCan gone wrong.

Comments: There were probably 4 okay routes here, unfortunately the squeezing of lines on this tiny crag kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth... see Beta Photo.

Comments: +1 Jason. One of the worst routes on one of the worst grid bolted crags in BoCan.

Comments: Thanks JA. This and a couple others here are HDR images. The final dreamy image was a combination of 5 shots on a tripod at different exposures. Fun stuff to play with. (HDR is High Dynamic Range.)

Comments: This photo is zoomed in a bit and seems to foreshorten the pitch and the distance between the bolts. The first three draws are off of the old original ¼” bolts. The final move to clip each one of those seemed fairly thought provoking and about 5.9. With those quarter inch protection bolts all now at this point being 24 years old, that certainly adds some spice factor. Oh, and then there is the awesome exposure… quite memorable to say the least.

Comments: Come on… is that just a troll Tristin? Well, at least you actually use your real name to troll and flame. But please, next time read MtnProj Guideline #1: don't be a jerk? Does this really sound like a good way start a productive conversation on the number of bolts on a “5.0 pitch”? “Whatever. This is public land and this is a public forum I'll say whatever I damn well please about it.” So… so there! Not long ago Tristen you complained about too many bolts on Pygmy Alien, a 5... more >>

Comments: We liked this challenging Eldo 5.9 and the "big suprise" at the end... it's worthy. And if the slings are good, the rap anchor through the tunnel is bomb. Much better than the Rush Buick anchor.

Comments: Not sure why this doesn't deserve 3 stars. I thought it was quality rock, cool features, appropriate bolt placements, and had good movement.

Comments: Excellent solo on clean aid 03/17/07. Careful of those bolts on pitch 1! It would be wacky to try and free past these... even if it was only 5.9. And 5.8 for the last pitch?! Glad I had the #5 Camalot. Whoever does this tower next, please bring a register book and some pencils/pens. The summit register ammo box is great. But the 1 pencil and 1 pen are fried and there are only a couple of blank sheets of paper as the register. Note that the original register is still there but VERY V... more >>

Comments: Excellent job by Paul & Layne on this. It's fun, mostly easy, runout, and fairly adventurous... and what views! Wowza, purty dang fun! DBC seems to be the best looking and most prominent line of all the Reef climbs. If approaching from the East on I-70, you can see DBC before you even get to Green River. The hike in is cool with some short narrows in the bottom of the approach canyon. After recent rains you may even have a couple of wades here though the pools should only be waste deep max... more >>

Comments: Not that it matters much anymore on this little tower, but the first ascent of this route was done totally clean and no bolts were place other than the two drilled rap pins below the summit. Unfortunately, subsequent parties placed all the bolts that are now encountered. Burns guide got it wrong both on the first ascent party and the use of pins at all on this route. "This route should go clean on its next ascent" Sorry about the uninspiring route name. I just never thought it that important... more >>
