Comments: The guide has it down as 11c but I think 11b is fair. Fun climbing, and with good footwork the crux isn't too bad.

Comments: Once you have climbed a problem you do have something to do with it. If there is no recorded name I don't see the problem with giving it one. That's hardly unethical, nor does it undermine this site. The routes database is king, however the community represented by all who log in to this site is also important. Putting forth a name allows for debate, which is healthy, and if the original name comes forth from that debate great the database will be better for it.

Comments: I fail to see how you can assume that! The FA entry is empty, Chris has stated the fact that the problem is listed in the current guide with its number and the fact it has no name. I see no harm in giving problems names if they don't have one listed in the latest guide. If you know the name it was given 15 years ago, give it up and I am sure Chris will amend the entry.

Comments: There is a fair amount trail construction as you approach the crag, and the folks doing this are making a really good job of it. We climbed more or less straight up to the chimney pitch and managed to summit with 4 long 60m pitches. A great climb every time.

Comments: BEWARE - We climb this in July 2011 and the 3rd bolt is missing its hanger. This bolt is meant to protect the crux moves - a balancy mantel.

Comments: When we visited in July 2011 a number of the hangers were loose and one route Howl was missing its 3rd bolt hanger (not ideal since if you fell from the crux you'll have a very good chance of decking it). A local really needs to buy a wrench!

Comments: I agree it isn't a V1, but that does nothing to detract from the excellent movement.

Comments: The moves up the blocky corner are not that great, but once on the slab above its fairly good.

Comments: Great climb. The moves to reach the flake are fairly reachy if you leave the move left too late. (I updated the FA info)
