Comments: Well I suppose it depends on what you consider "straight up."

I've always gone: into the the gaston with both hands, up right to the triangle pinch, toe hook the big starting hold, and then left to the lip - which I guess is swiss cheese.

Comments: MAN. I've been thinking I've climbed E-Z cheese for YEARS now, only to discover that All I've ever done are variations on Swiss Cheese (many of them). Never knew that E-Z Cheese is a true eliminate (huuuuge logical left gaston is off).

Comments: Did this and FFF yesterday. My 2 cents:
AA = slightly harder feeling roof sequence (and more holds to fumble around on), less interesting slab top section.
FFF = Really fun 3 or 4 move roof sequence with a cool hold, much more interesting slab section. FFF wins in my book.

Both felt about 10a.

Comments: I managed to pump off on my flash attempt on this as I was throwing blindly for the first big huge jug near the end and missed. Heartbreaking. On my second attempt I couldn't figure out the beginning technical moves - they felt so easy the first time...

P.S. Where was the stone? Also - does anyone have video of this route going down?

Comments: Sent this in 2 tries this weekend - 1 follow, 1 lead. No hand-jamming necessary for me. Very fun climbing, whatever the grade is.

Comments: Are the two large protruding blocks to the left of the left leaning crack considered on for this problem?

Comments: Does this problem climb the arete up and over until you can reach the big crack several feet back (making it a fairly tall problem) or does it exit left using the good, flat protrusion after slapping up to the left arete?

Comments: Are the sloping holds along the right arete considered "off" for this problem? Also - are there defined/common starting holds?

Comments: A few clarifications on the directions after finding my way there:

From the parking lot, you walk up towards the stone tower until you see the "Cornel" Trail on your left (just before the main road splits) - the same first left that you would take on the way to the Queen's Row Boulders. Continue on this trail, bearing left to avoid taking the Stone Tower Trail. You will then continue on this trail for quite some time - you will pass the golf course, you will be able to see the hidden boulder ... more >>

Comments: Do these directions start from the parking lot, or the stone tower? If from the tower, is the trail you break left from the one you take to get to the Stone Tower boulder? (with The Buttermilker, etc?) Does anyone have any photography references to go by?

Comments: I'd like to know the "official" starting position of the hands on this problem. Does it start:
1) On the crimp on the face (chalked in the photo of Lily above)
2) directly above said crimp
3) where Lily's right hand is in the photo above

(Disclaimer: I'm unclear whether or not this was the official start or not - either way some more clarity could help in the description instead of just "climb the face with ease.")

Comments: Ok it makes zero sense to me that Hobbit Hole gets a hundred attempts every weekend and this climb sits around with nobody getting on it. Too much thrutching for the general populous? I had a blast on this thing although it was an ugly affair - see for yourself (@~2:17):
