i don't think "ironic" is the right word….

there is a major difference between the two routes: Yoda was done as a first ascent with bolts. the FA'er got to make the decision about the bolts because he was the "first" asc... more >>

i re-climbed that route just the other day.

the block with the "x" on it has been just as loose as it was the first day i rapped down it in 1995. the fact that it hasn't fallen out in 20 years of 5.8 gumbies yarding on it, might tell you something about how "chossy" this route really is ….
