Comments: Yup, description seems good from what I remember. We used to climb all over that part of the dome when weather was threatening. Y'all deserve the credit though, especially if you brushed it up a bit. We never cared enough to tell anyone. Nice pitch, I remember squeezing through the wide much to the chagrin of 'team heckle' down below.

Comments: We climbed this in '06 or '07, and it could have been done before.
Greg Desantis, Rob Williams, Dustin Brown. Taken to top of formation. Thank you for using a hand drill out there.

Comments: 2 good English print resources are:

'Classic Dolomite Climbs by Kohler/Memmel' ( Great if you are looking for information on the classic long routes 5.10 and below)

'The Dolomites: Rock climbs and via ferrata, by James Rushforth' (A bit of everything from long routes to cragging, plus you get some of Rushie's amazing photos...)

Comments: This route is already entered as 'Left Hook'. Twice actually. Three entries is plenty for a 20' route.

Comments: This route was climbed long before the route 'Step Right' was installed and used to have poor protection getting into the cracks. When I climbed it years back, the cracks were home to a large bat population, and the cone of fresh guano spilling out of the crack was about 18" high. It was dusk, and while I was belaying, my partner up I counted 80+ bats leaving the crack. I don't know if Dan Smilkstein climbed it first, but I'm sure it was climbed in the '80s or '90s. Probably a better route now w... more >>

Comments: Short route just left is 'Trigger Happy'. It is given 10a, but I've always felt the tenuous moves down low to be hard. Most of the routes on this part of the dome check in at about the same range (10 through 11-) it seems to me.

Comments: I agree. If one avoids using that sketchy flake, the move feels much harder than 10b. All that aside, it's a decent route.

This sick tower gets my vote as "most likely to fall down in the next 10 years". What is holding it up?

made it 12, close guess though. i especially like that this is the first comment under the climb.

Comments: As of May '14 the route is in great condition, hardly any fixed mank on it, all anchors are bomb.

Every single pitch of this climb is great! DO IT!

Comments: Information can be found in a German published guidebook on sport climbing in the region. Only in german and Italian. I have seen this for sale in a few stores in Corvara and Cortina. Also online here

Rockfax (UK) is working on a english language select guidebook that should be available next summer, and may contain information about this place.

Comments: To find the start of this route look for a threaded cord about 35 feet above ground, above a ledgy ramp leaning to the left.

Also, it's best not to leave packs at the start of the route, it adds quite a bit of hiking at the end of the day.

Great route, a fun ramble with great views and comfortable belays.
