Comments: Dude, that was totally protected up above. I agree it doesn't show it well, but it wasn't filmed so we could put it up on MP. I guess that was an after thought. If we had that in mind we would have shown our gear placement to protect a potential pendulum. I'll see if he will at least edit his description so it mentions it. Thanks for your concern.

Comments: This is a great chimney climb with great protection and awesome views from above. Very Awkward start. Protect it as best you can before you start climbing.

Comments: My first pitch of the season, used a single 60m. I was able to rappel down no problem by heading left, just right of the foliage.

Comments: My first climb up Ferguson Canyon. I wasn't too impressed with it actually. The only interesting part of this route was the roof at the top. The walk off wasn't bad.

Comments: I've felt the same way about this route each time I lead it. The first half of the route is so slick. I've never really looked forward to that lead (we only climb it now to TR Goodro's), but I decided last time it is one of my favorite 5.6's.

Comments: By potential I meant, it's a big slab and there were plenty of unclaimed FA's from what I could see. There were no documented routes between Forgotten Slab and Super Slab, but plenty of good lines even for single pitch routes. Unless they're just not on MP yet. Props to all those who have already put in hard work developing what is there. It's more than I've ever done, it wasn't meant belittle anything that is already there.

Comments: Cool area with lots of potential. We got a little lost once or twice, but it wasn't to hard to find. You'll find the trail just up stream from the old cement building. Once on the trail, follow it until you make it to the bridge made of 2x4's. No long after you cross the bridge you will come upon a fork in the trail, take a right. The trail will look like it is going to fork again (this is where we got lost). You take another right, which takes you directly into the stream bed, where the s... more >>

Comments: Couple of finger locks and foot jams will do the trick here. First time up this I ran into a whole load of bees just below the runout section. Is there a rating to incorporate bees? Like 'B'?

Comments: Only did the first pitch, but that was enough for me that night. Had some passive gear pull out leaving me very exposed. This is a great line.

Comments: Fun route that I will never forget.

Pitch 1-Mostly simple. Once you reach the half way point you have no hands and slim feet.
Pitch 2-Great pitch, I never look forward to it, but it's a good, short, sustained for a time. Great place to set up an anchored belay.
Pitch 3-Short again, but fun. Great line for nuts. Opportunity for a short dyno near the end if you look for it.
Pitch 4-One of the worst chimney's I've ever climbed. It's too narrow to climb in it, and I had the lingering thought t... more >>

Comments: In my opinion this is one of the ultimate climbs in BCC. Each time I climb it, it seems to have a different crux. Sometimes it's the roof, sometimes it's part of the main crack. Each time I climb it I'm reminded of how ludicrous it would be for me to lead it. Hopefully one day. I try to climb new routes whenever I can, but I'm always game for another go at Goodro's.

Comments: Fun onsite. Sustained and precarious at times. I hate sandstone, you never know when it's gonna break.

Comments: This is a fun place to start off your season while you are waiting for the snow to melt. Lots of routes really close together. Most of them are pretty easy, but there are a few challenging ones. There are many youth groups and scouts brought here so beware! If you are alone, it probably won't be for long. The only other downside I can think of to this place is the rope drag. Plenty of these routes drag. Overall it is a fun place to climb, but once the canyon snow is gone, you won't see me... more >>

Comments: Pretty dirty climb, considering it was an FA. There are a few mantles required on this route. Pick your hand placement carefully as there are some old (abandoned) birds nests nestled on top of them. They consist of brush and cactus. I'm still trying to get one of the needles out of my hand over a week later. Fun route, but sandstone scares me. Take caution as this is a very new route and you may knock something loose during your accent.

Comments: I felt very accomplished after completing this route. The beginning is very technical. Once you pass the crux the rest of the route is cake.

Comments: Didn't like it. It's been a while, but I wasn't impressed with the bolt placement on this route. Lots of potential rope drag too. I tend to stay away from the Dam Wall all together.

Comments: Haven't climbed here yet, but I've hiked it plenty. Can be pretty intense for some people. Lengthy as well. The peak is supposed to be about 6 miles, but by GPS it's at least 7, and the cirque isn't too far off. I don't think I would ever attempt a single day hike-climb-hike down. It's absolutely exhausting on the way down, so I would plan to stay the night somewhere up there.

If you go early enough in the year you will find plenty of run off where you can filter some clean water. Also, a... more >>

Comments: Fun climb. Belayers beware! There is a lot of loose slate near the chains. Without too much effort I sent one or two nice sized pieces in the direction of the guys below.
