Comments: Fun route. I am not sure about the 10 rating. If you follow the bolt line, this is a straightforward climb. It is a stretch to even call it a 9 in my mind. As the description states, if you climb over to the right of the bolts (almost out of arms reach of them), the climbing is much harder.

Comments: No, I didn't mean to make it sound that my wingspan was a bad thing. I can see how it sounds like that. I will change the wording. ;-)

Comments: I agree completely. This isn't a gym. If it is within my reach, I will use it (a 6'8" wingspan allows me to reach many things that some probably consider "off-route" - but I don't care, I need all the help I can get). ;)

Comments: Just a heads up. The second bolt on this route has some of the rock missing from underneath it, exposing several threads. Not too tough of a climb to just clip it and go, but if you want some pro, a few different tri-cams will do nicely in this area.

Comments: No way this is a 5.9. Maybe if you use the tree. Even then I would say it would still be a low 10.

Maybe we could develop some type of hierarchy system that leads up to some "Grand Master" local. All information must be fed through him before it can be viewed by public eyes on MP.
Or, we could just say thanks to people for making an attempt to spread the word about cool problems to try. Then, if they are incorrect in their information, we could poli... more >>

Comments: The gear on this one is better than it looks from the ground. And, there are a couple of killer tri-cam spots about 3/4 of the way up on the face (that is, if you are in to tri-cams ;-) ).

Comments: Just a heads up. I was out here yesterday and watched a climber fall on this one as he was going for the third bolt. Given the position of the belayer and the height above the last bolt, he actually hit the belayer before being "caught" by the rope. There were no serious injuries. Be careful on this one - the hardest move (IMO) is through this section between the second and third bolt.

Comments: Pretty nice route. For an interesting variation, stay to the left of the arete on the way up. Slightly overhung and more fun and a bit more challenging than the direct route, IMHO.
