Comments: Colin, check out Haas' new color guidebook to Table, it has some great color photos of the area that makes it really easy to get around.

Comments: Thanks to everyone who helped fix the gully between this area and the MBA area at the trail day last weekend. It looks WAY better (and I didn't send any loose rocks down it while hiking through it). Kudos to Fixed Pin Publishing and the Access Fund for organizing that.

Comments: Hey Bob D', when can we add your upcoming book to this list? I heard rumors that it was suppose to be out around this time, is that true?

Comments: I was up there yesterday, and I am confused. The route says north face, but the description on here says a crack to the right of the rappel line, which is on the west face. The only crack I saw was on the west face, near the northwest corner. There was a small rib that stuck up and you could walk on it to reach across the gap to the crack. You pulled over a small overhang then followed the crack to the rappel ledge. There wasn't really an offwidth so much as a low-angled slot that took thin... more >>

Comments: Does anyone know where the "1911" carving is suppose to be? I climbed this route last night and couldn't find it anywhere.

Comments: We ran out of light tonight, so I wasn't able to get on this route, but it looks good. What's up with the 15ft. piece of purple webbing 30ft. off the ground? Also, Tony, to clarify for me, isn't your route really just a variation (or direct ascent) of Quiche on a Leash and not an independent line? Just curious. Or, I guess I could say Quiche on a Leash would be a variation of your line, since it isn't the direct, plumb line, only that it was done before your route.

Comments: I totally agree this thing is VS, or VMS (very much a solo) but has some real quality moves on it.

Question though - how does this route really differ from New Age Slab? Rossiter mentions climbing this route to a fixed pin and then breaking right. There's no fixed pin or even a pin scar as far as I can tell, but there is an ancient bolt about 90ft. up. I assume this route is suppose to cut left to the anchors on the West Face (which is what I did) and that the New Age Slab cuts right to a... more >>

Comments: I noticed that Bear Creek Spire does not have any mention of access issues online here. Does that mean the year-round closure mentioned in Rossiter's book is no longer in effect?
