Comments: I think that this climb has cleaned up nicely. Nice long climb with varied moves and a short crux; this climb is a must do.

Comments: Susan
This route does, at first, seem a bit heady. I know, because I also saw what you did (a year ago or so). I went back with Laurel (last Sat) and, really, it is safe. A key bomber left hand pocket (can be reached from the ledge, with some effort) lets you safely clip the second bolt. From there a heady (safe) move to good holds lets off to a nice climb to the top.

Comments: I (Geir and I) added a third bolt to this route. The intent was to enable one to clip a bolt prior to committing to the roof. However, I have not yet climbed the route since adding the hanger.

Comments: I would suggest a variation; climb MM up until you can cross the arete (about 10 m). Follow arete and left side of arete to reach the overhanging "crown" (jewel!)

Comments: Proper ....yeah. Many thanks to Geir for his countless hours of work on his topos; a side benefit was inspiring SA to write something up.

Comments: It is a beautiful scene. And being one who lived in Michigan for 22 years I love those crisp, clear, sunny autumn days... but there are so few of them!

Comments: um, I had not visited my comment until today; so much hostility, directed at me.

Andrew: yes, I used the bolt ladder on Eagle Dance. So, you are telling me that standing on the hangers at this belay for this climb is a form of aiding, and that one cannot (reasonably) do the first few moves without standing on these hangers?

Admittedly, I have not been on this climb. What grade does this climb become if you do not stand on the hangers? If the grade increases significantly, then I s... more >>

Comments: A wonderful climb! A 0.75 camalot protects the opening moves to establish into Magumba's "crack". Nice surprise jugs on this route.

Comments: Nice climb. I liked the finger crack for Gambit. The left crack looks dirty and dicy. I don't think the climb gets much traffic at all. And, the cactus (at the top) is a challenge, but avoidabe if one is careful. The flake didn't bother me, although I tried to avoid it.

Comments: Are you serious? In my worst day I do not stand on bolts or anchors. Perhaps you should consider climbing at your level.

Comments: Although the minor roof does have a bunch of scary looking blocks, Manny and I were unable to dislodge any of those still present. Having said that, choose your own way.
