If you are comfortable with run-outs on 5.7 terrain, you can leave the trad gear at home - otherwise bring 2 gold Camalots for p1. P4 seemed like 5.12a, and p5 seemed like 5.11b at the roof to me. Have at it - it's a great line.

By: dave klein When: Oct 27, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: beware of poison oak and poison ivy in skunk canyon. i scambled up Angel's Way a few days ago and am now riddled in poison oak - it can be a bit tricky to spot with the leaves coming off - but it is definately all over the place. last year i got it in skunk canyon as well(slow learner i guess).
indeed a great route - hang your rear off the right side of the ridge and walk your hands up the ridge as long as you dare. i'm not sure if that keeps it to the grade - and may look improbable at tim... more >>

We ended up bailing midway up pitch 4 on the .11d crux. Watch the feet and wear your helmet. I had a foot hold break off on the start of the crux on pitch 4 that sent me fly'n. Watch for loose holds on first half of pitch 4.
From what I climbed, the only loose section was on pitch 4. The rest of the route was on solid stone, with great positioning. The rappels are nicely spaced for a 6... more >>
