Comments: I did it in '86..I took the ride of my life falling off the crux of that thing on the first attempt, and made it the second time.

It was hotter than fuck, I thought I was in hell for 12 hours.

Comments: The really good bouldering is just up the hill a bit to the west (above and between)spy rock and the indulgance crag. A brush is not a bad idea, but not required. This is the Best area for bouldering (I have discovered) in the canyon.

Comments: The local wingnut with the gun (Bill Schuller) sold the place to Pinnaclecommunications Inc. I work up there often and have been climbing on the convenient bouldering areas near the road ("Cloud Nine" area, etc.) since the early '90s. I rarely see old Bill around anymore, but I've seen him once in a while putting around the place, so be careful, he still acts like he owns the place... he has about 2 years left before he should be gone completley.
