Comments: I heard it's actually just a really hard 11c that requires special technique and stealth rubber knee bar pads... Oh, and a little bit of trad gear...

Comments: Looking at the photo on this page, Mack the Knife is just outside the right side of the frame. So, Mr. Lean is the arete just south of Mack the knife. TR setup in an obvious 1" crack. This route could maybe use a better description overall huh...?

Comments: Rad Travis! Did you lead the second pitch or link the first and second together?? I got on the second pitch a while back and thought it was in the easy 13 range. I can't imagine linking the two..? Good work!

Comments: Hmmm... Hadn't actually thought of that before but I'm sure it would go. Possibly a good one to know where the gear goes before hopping on cause we all know what the rock is like at RW. Tell me how it goes..

Comments: Good question Chris, most of the stuff at Taylors (especially in that area) is pretty short. I've never scoped this route but I would be surprised if more than 4 pieces of gear were involved in the lead...

Comments: Yeah... We always joked about being on that part of the climb and the whole thing coming off and riding the block to the ground! Funny cause that was also the spot to place sketchy nuts behind the block. It looks like it's a full no hands rest so I'd imagine the route will get easier but maybe the gear won't happen until the crux... Who knows. I guess the gear probably wasn't all that good anyway seeing how the thing fell off. Hats off to whoever leads that thing first this season. Could ... more >>
