Comments: If you were climbing at Checkerboard on Sunday, 3/13, and lost your Nikon camera, we have it! It was left at the boulder, so we grabbed it thinking we'd run into you later. It's a pretty nice one, too! Please get in touch and we'll find a way to get it to you. Damon, 970-371-7663.

Comments: This is a super cool route, in my opinion every bit as good as Redneck Hero. The crack climbing is not too difficult, then you get a sweet transition onto the bolted face and pumpy climbing above. Be warned that the bolts and hangers are in need of replacement - I did not feel too good about falling on them.

Comments: Super route! Four long slashes allow passage up a face that would otherwise be blank. Prospective suitors should note that it's a bit awkward getting up to the first bolt, and stick clipping from the ledge is not a bad idea.

Comments: This is the sickest route in the Front Range! Cannot believe how perfect this line is. I wonder if hold breakage has altered the grade at all? It's one hell of a hard 13b!

Comments: This is a great climb. Sustained, sequential, and with tricky footwork. Very solid at 12a! Needs to clean up a bit though, a helmet wouldn't be a bad idea for the belayer.

Comments: This route is awesome. Incredibly fingery start into a baffling crux up high. No matter how dialed I had the upper crux, it was at best 50/50, and when I sent I actually fell but caught myself on the underclings and sidewalk and was able to give it another go. Significantly harder than any other 12c I've tried at Shelf!

Comments: Great route! It's been a lot of years since I did Sucking My Will, but from what I remember, this is more enjoyable. Insanely beta intensive, like everything else around here.

Comments: This route is an absolute gem! I don't think there is a better line in the Poudre, except possibly Dream. This took a TON of work from me and maximum effort to send. For that reason, I think it's solidly 13a. It feels closer in difficulty to a route like Public Solitude than Dream of Poudre or even Landing Strip, but then again, it is a bit reachy and I am not tall. Get on this thing!!!

Comments: Delightful. Some of the most unique climbing on this wall. Good rock and highly technical movement

Comments: Since a lot of these grades probably been consolidated around here, I'll just say I thought this felt like solid 13a. Maybe it's just not my style though? Considerably harder than Ebola and many 12d's and 13a's around the front range.

Comments: Even though the Poudre Canyon is "open" now after the High Park Fire, it is still closed to recreation other than rafting and fishing. I learned this the hard way the other day after being hurriedly kicked out of the triple tier area by fire people. So if you're wanting to climb in the canyon, best to wait a while until it is fully open (where this information is available I don't really know...).

In a related note, we had to leave our draws on the route "Dreams of Poudre" after being evacuat... more >>

Comments: Does anybody know which holds you can and can't use from the climb Monstrosity? Can you start on Monstrosity or use the crimps to the left? This is a good climb, but I hate feeling like I'm in a gym and worrying if certain holds are off!
