Location: CO : Caņon City : Shelf Road By: courtney.vogt When: Feb 8, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: There is a new? mountain-type shop in Canon City for all your guide-book/fancy climbing clothes needs! I am not sure if it's been around for a while and I just never knew, but I was there in October and it was lookin' pretty fresh.
Higher Limits @ 224 Main St. Almost all the way at the western? end of Main street. They definitely carry Shelf Road Rock by Sharp End.

Location: UT : Maple Canyon By: courtney.vogt When: Feb 8, 2008 | view comment >> | Comments: is Maple Canyon "dog-friendly"? I saw something about Box Canyon being off limit to dogs because it's privately owned. How about the other areas?
and in response to mw: i would expect a 7 hour trip from Rifle to Maple. I know it takes 8 from Summit County, CO.

Location: CO : Keystone a.k.a. Montezuma By: courtney.vogt When: Jan 18, 2007 | view comment >> | Comments: Yes, the Snake is quite polluted. A project was started to clean up the area this past summer (2006), but don't count on being able to drink it! It is possible to hike up the river all the way past some really cool old mines and such to Montezuma, and it's an awesome walk if you find that the rock is still wet from rain that fell days beforehand (which happens too often in Summit County).
