Location: NH : Pawtuckaway : Upper Cliff : Bloody Fingers (5.9+) By: Christopher Gagne When: May 18, 2012 | view comment >> |
Comments: Your welcome for the info. on the route. Well the grade could be on par... Seeing that an old school 5.9+ could be just as hard as 5.10b. If I understood correctly from another forum site that hit upon the subject of ratings a while back...

Comments: Lee, after looking at the old '95 guide to Pawtuckaway the route you posted looks & sounds like Bloody Fingers 5.9+ PG "Ascend the first 10 feet of Wedged Chimney. Step right to ledge on Rescue Wall face. Move right to small facing corner with crack. Ascend crack and face above it to top. Var: Sausage Fingers 5.7+: From small left facing corner with crack move just right of crack to face of block. Face climb block up a few feet until it is possible to move left to face above crack. Comments: Maybe my memory is going and maybe it's not but for some strange reason it seems that the really bad foot used to make the cross into the upper crack, of this problem, has grown and got bigger... Anyone else notice this... I just don't recall the foot being this massive edge...

Location: NH : Pawtuckaway : Yellow Dog Wall : Fleas (5.8+) By: Christopher Gagne When: Apr 24, 2011 | view comment >> |
Comments: Jeremy this route sounds and looks like Fleas 5.8+ out of the old 1995's Comprehensive Guide to Pawtuckaway Rock Climbing by the Saball's & Paul Boissonneault... food for thought

Location: NH : Cathedral Ledge : Lower Left Wall / Ventilato... : Bombardment (5.8) By: Christopher Gagne When: Sep 1, 2009 | view comment >> |
Comments: Thanks... It is a little Random and from what I've heard from another climbing friend of mine it's meant to be a more fitting start to Ventilator... I made the first bolt and the first moves up to the second bolt with ease after that I had to aid the route up to the crack below the oak tree... Something I'll try again on a cooler day then the day I tried it...

Location: NH : Concord Quarries DWS By: Christopher Gagne When: Aug 25, 2009 | view comment >> |
Comments: Did a little research online about the Concord Quarries and it seems that some of the Mountain Bikers use to park in the cemetery and ride in on one of the trails from there, if this is possible still I have no clue. Also, I think it should be noted that in my research I found that the state police/prison guards have a shooting range that lies in between the two quarries. The range can be found in an old quarry that cuts into the hill side. If you look at Google map or Virtual Earth you'll see ... more >>

Comments: A fun & interesting problem with some cool and fun moves... haven't sent it yet but enjoyed the couple of burns i did take on it... the landing is a little shady, the person spotting you will have fun staying on there feet, small landing zone if you pop off... definitely get on this climb!!
