Finishing a great problem. The first time I did this one it was 106F and nearly burned my hands. Photo: Kreidel Collection

Comments: This route seems futuristic;) Definitely a cool looking corner. Nice job.

Comments: I found that big-finger sized aliens worked well in those middle placements. Also, it was nice to be able to clip the chains before really committing to the finishing moves. It seems that the long anchors might take away from the experience of doing the last tough moves with only a cam, that may not be great depending on what you have left, in the roof.

This is a good route for any area in the country.

Comments: The approach trail is faint in places and there are plenty of logs down after the winter. Still worth every dirty step.

Comments: This route probably needs another bolt on the upper arete. The climbing is relatively juggy, but the runout may be a bit excessive. I'm interested to hear thoughts from those who've been on it?

It does have a wide variety of moves on interesting holds of all sizes with a fair amount of air to boot.

Comments: The bolts atop the lower boulders are multiplying. There are now 3 new bolts above the main face in addition to the one old 3/8", and 2 new bolts above the slabby west side of the Broken Rubber boulder. Does anyone else find this troubling? Whatever happened to setting up a natural TR if you weren't comfortable with the fall? They must not teach that in school anymore.

Comments: An all-around great climb. Pulling out of the chimney section was so much fun. The dihedral was loaded with good stances and nice flat jugs. Not sure why it was given a PG13, I thought it was well protected and the rock was good.

Comments: The anchor on this route could use some work. The bottom bolt is a wiggler. Otherwise a very cool route.

Comments: I climbed several trad lines on those cliffs but never got around to actually bolting anything, and I think Tony Lusk said they climbed there WAY back in the day. A couple months ago I saw some folks on that wall so I'd expect they placed the hardware. Not sure who it was. What I did climb was fun enough given the amount of effort needed to get to the crag. Rock quality varies greatly.

Comments: Not even close to R rated, even if you skip the bolt. This was the first bolt placed at The Falls and with todays small cams it's unnecessary. Although it is a great reminder of where we've come from.

Really cool stemming, palming, and liebacking through the crux.
The bit above is not a gimmie.

Comments: H and I took 4:45 to reach the top of Table mt via the relentless slog up the ridge in Pima w/ 55lbs. Would probably recommend do the opposite and suffer up the gully farther up canyon instead (down in 3:30). Haven't done the west approach yet, guess that is next. Camped 50yds from the topout at an amazing spot. All around, worth the pain of getting up and down.

Good pic of a cool pitch.

Comments: At one point lower on the route, there are four or five moves involving sidepulls and pinches on the knife-edge arete that are about as cool as rock climbing gets. Definitely worth the two minute scramble/walk to the bottom of the tower.

Don't have a 70M and/or just want a little taste? Try Pocket Protector, Wing Development, Green Flash, Other Side of the Fence.
