Comments: This photo is misleading and vague at best.

Comments: The real first pitch, not mentioned in the description, climbs the lighter colored slab on the left side of the tower to the saddle. A must do!

Comments: The description should read: Slightly left for 10a, direct for 10+.

Comments: Clint, I think it is a great line and you did a good job bolting it. I guess it's hard to tell what the 'line' is on that wall, it's all really climbable. The Petzl stainless bolts you used are bomber, thanks for spending the extra $$ to ensure a safe long lasting route.

Location: CO : Silverton area : Eureka area : Eureka Pillar : Hardrock Miner (5.7+)

Comments: The Eureka Pillar is the large formation just to the south of the box canyon by the old Eureka mill. Hardrock Miner starts in an alcove and climbs up and left to a ledge, then up the center of the slab to the top. Although this route is bolted, it is still an adventurous alpine climb with some loose rock.

2 ropes, draws.

Comments: The pitch in the picture is the first pitch of Hardrock Miner, 5.7, bolts. Golddigger is the original route on the wall which traversed into the ledge from the left and then climbed the corner to the right of the face. Trad.

Comments: Check out Stone Combat, 11+. Starts in the cave to the right of the silver stage and follows the black streaks to the top. 3 pitches.

Comments: The rock is calcified San Juan volcanic tuff, not limestone.

Comments: A few years ago some climbs were put up in the gorge below the 4x4 road. Go past the first pair of switchbacks on the Engineer Pass road to a campground/pullout to the right. Hike slightly to the right along the edge and find a rap anchor. Rap in and a there are a few quality single pitch lines that climb back out to the rim.
