Comments: Matt, or anyone else "in the know"........

The survey has much emphasis on RMP and I'm wondering why? Is this because the surveyor goes to college near RMP, so he choose RMP for his project because it's close to him....... or, is there something "more" to the survey.

Comments: I thought the idea of posting routes online was to give others directions to the route..... the description for "Sweet Pain" doesn't help one locate the route.

I'm not trying to critize, just making a helpful observation.

Comments: Chip --- NW Overhang felt like V4 to me, but I know some V3s and V4s at Hueco harder than the NW Overhang. So I choose to give the problem the guidebook rating. Plus, I'm never inclined to change another individual's rating. I don't take ratings that seriously.

Comments: Walt, I like your style........ It's now 2004, in Boulder Canyon this climb would be a 10 bolt 13a.

Comments: As of Spring 2004, the bolts are good. That said, I've heard (more than once) of bolts pulling out at Rifle (water flowing thru pore space in the limestone loosens the bolts).

Comments: IMHO movement on this route is better that it's 12b neighbor (PinchFest). 12b straight above the last bolt, 11d right of the last bolt.

Comments: Rossiter's website (boulderclimbs.com) grades this climb 10a. It felt like 10+ to me (as compared to other 10s I've climbed in Boulder Canyon).

Comments: This route feels more like 12b. Perhaps a hold or two has broken around the 3rd of 4th bolt ?

Comments: Very fun climb --- I haven't climbed much in Boulder Canyon, that said.... the grade of this route compares favorably with the few 11 minus sport routes I've climbed in the canyon.

Comments: This comment is to supplement the above route description :

Sometime in the fall of 2003 I noticed the first three homemade bolts of this route have been replaced with modern bolts. Also, in-situ lower chains are installed.

Comments: a.c.:If you're the same a.c. that posted the description of this problem, then sorry if I offended you.

Went to the 420's last weekend (my first time there), did some problems without any knowledge of names or grades, then came to this site to figure out what problems I did. From some descriptions, I was difficult to determine what problems I had bouldered.
