Comments: Bobby- I think you're talking about the step across from Cat's Pajamas to Reunion if you follow the seam left after the hand crack. The 2nd pitch of Cat's breaks right up a seam after the hand crack, leading to the base of the 3rd pitch.

Comments: 3rd bolt is an old 1/4 taper expansion bolt with a Leeper hanger. While this bolt may hold a fall, both the bolt and hanger should be considered suspect.

Comments: can link last 2 pitches with a 60m, but beware of rope drag. Walkoff wasn't too bad except the ankle deep death leaves

Comments: Small (.4 camelot to micro) gear for top anchor works well in the block above and climbers left of the topout. Bolts have been chopped

Comments: Blue Camelot (#3) is definitely not mandatory. I high Gold Camelot (#2) would keep you off the ground unless your belayer was updating his/her Facebook and wasn't paying attention.

Comments: Don't let the comments scare you off the second pitch- it is very reasonable if you are comfortable climbing above the grade. There are good stopper/small cam placements off the belay, then moderate but runout climbing to a new bolt; the climbing is 5.7/8. The 5.9 crux comes slightly above the bolt and is short and well protected.

Also, as @Cultivating Mass notes, there is only one bolt on the Our Father pitch. According to some of the other comments, it seems that folks are cl... more >>

Comments: Anyway to change the name to Coatamundi -> Candyland, since that's what this linkup is commonly referred to? CW finishes out left under the great roof, so "Great Roof Finish" isn't really accurate.

The traverse on the second pitch mentioned above is the route of the first ascentionists and shouldn't be missed. Head left on small edges and flakes toward a hanging crack in the middle of the face. This section is unprotected, but the hardest moves are right out of the chimney. Cli... more >>

Comments: This was post storm in October- 2005 I think. We were wondering if this line had been climbed before, due to the ephemeral conditions. Probably has by a bunch of old hardpeople, but who knows. Still an adventure especially since most screw placements were a joke...

Comments: Climbed directly up thin cracks above initial finger crack. Its all there but you've got to work a bit for good placements.

Comments: Although Thin Ice was more continuous as a route, I thought that the crux pitch of Fancy Free was harder than anything on Thin Ice- for whatever it's worth, but I also probably jammed FF straight in.

Comments: As of 8-25-12, the road into the Needles is in pretty rough shape. A high clearance vehicle is recommended, although we did see a party with an Audi driving out as we drove in. During the week, the fighter jets were very active, flying low over the domes- ear rattling loud, but pretty cool to see them screaming by in an inversion. They seemed to take the weekend off.

Comments: Sad that, 1, MP wouldn't allow me to give it 5 stars, and, 2, that it replaced the 3rd (finger crack) pitch of Reunion on Granite Mountain as my favorite pitch of 10a ever.

Comments: Funny thing is that I am just using an Olympus point and shoot; a Stylus 770W I believe. These photos have not been edited or altered by software in anyway- just the magic of the rock and sky that make this place so beautiful.
