Comments: Dan Langmade, Stan Mish (two of the four Banditos), and I did a teeny tiny tower in this area in about 2000. It was 5.8 or so, with one drilled bit of gear. Got any idea where it is? I'm not familiar with Sedona. Cammo

Comments: This is a pretty pathetic name for a route in anyone's terms and I'm sad it seems to have stuck. It was about some weird agreement/lack of agreement between a couple of LA climbers and a couple of Santa Fe climbers and....well, the result is the name....

Comments: I see Jason loaded up my slides. Thanks, Jason.
Pretty bloody bad quality images. Look like they were taken underwater.
BTW: Many WR routes were done on lead.

Comments: Check out those wheels, indeed!
The thing on the front is my pet from that period, "Splatter Cat."
SC was a big piece of fake fur cut into the shape of an animal and glued to the hood and the grille. SC was cut through the middle so I could open the hood. SC was also splattered with red paint, for realism. My neighbors in Los Angeles complained to the cops about SC once, but they didn't do anything. SC passed away in 1992 and was buried at the base of Indian Creek's Johnny Cat.

Comments: Jason,
I see you scanned my slides. Gawdddddd! Those lycra tights are bloody awful.
I can smell them from here.
Thanks for fixing the rating, too.
Well, there's the pics you wanted. Probably the only ascent ever, as you suggested. Did you try it?
Best,
Cam

Comments: This was actually climbed by me, ages ago (1989), and, I got my dad to belay me because he was available and I really wanted to lead it after TRing it (bringing up a good argument as to why it shouldn't exist the way it does). As I remember, I climbed a few bouldery moves off left of the first ledge system, and the sole bolt on the route (the bolt was placed on lead), then basically ran it out to the top with no gear. The rating is arguably bogus. The X rating referred to the runout at the top, ... more >>

Comments: Guys,

I'm sorry. I really don't understand why people are repeating things like this when there are 600-foot towers still unclimbed in the American SW. These are turds done on waste days. I really am curious why anyone would repeat junk like this. Sorry.
