Comments: Perhaps best as a toprope but it has been free-soloed numerous times.

Comments: This line is a direct start to another route, Dick Enberg (5.11a), which climbs the tree next to the face before transitioning into the crack proper.

Due to the existing gear at the time the first lead of this route was done using pitons but as Brad notes protects decently with modern gear.

Comments: The link posted is to a copy of the old Aaron Rough topos which predate any and all guidebooks to the area. The Hueco Wall topo lists nine routes while actually there are actually just eight as listed here online; the additional route, an unnamed 5.11a right of "Dance This", does not exist.

Comments: Great photo that gives a good idea as to the size of the face and solitude of the area.

Comments: The actual finish for this route is up the roof crack in the middle of the photo (which makes it a 5.10a route).

Comments: Belleville is more of an eliminate and avoids the better holds out left as well as right, so close but no cigar.

Comments: Locating this route is quite easy - just look for the little white man painted on the rock. The crux seems to be going over a roof midway but endurance can be a factor as well.

There is an extension to this route called Long Shot (5.12b) *** 16 bolts to anchors/140'.

Average temperatures
Average temperatures

Note that the elevation for the given temperatures is slightly under 2000 feet while Hidden Valley Campground is over 4000 feet which will mean slightly cooler temperatures.

There are scads of fun and enjoyable routes facing every direction of the compass, even south for when it's cold, so head out and climb for as long as your fingertips can take it!

Comments: Originally done as a 5.12 top-rope problem back in the 1980's. Not sure who did the first ropeless ascent but it's more of a solo than a boulder problem considering the height.
