Alpine climbing isn't at the top of the list anymore for most climbers. Alpine climbing wasn't at the top of the list when I started my career either. Even the greatest peaks aren't such a great feet anymore to climb. Size and distance has been minimized by our technology to climbing at far away places. There are still a few who do these climbs the old fashioned way of getting there and doing the climb by walking in. They are the true greats.
