Comments: I think the name of this route is "Drop Test"? can anyone confirm that?

Comments: If it's not the best in the state it is absolutely the best V4 north of lunge or plunge... Sawmill and Sandstone have nothing as good at the grade. Such a rad time cleaning and sending and the rock quality is among the best I have ever seen. Also, this may be the northernmost established Boulder in the lower 48. It sits about 2 miles as the eagle flies from our brothers to the North.

Comments: Thanks for the feedback, The intention was to reduce groundfall potential for someone who is challenged by the grade and may not want to climb themselves into a run-out to the second bolt. I will go back and re-climb and and figure out what to do whether that be remove the bolt or find a better place.

Comments: I reequipped this route on 6/5/2016 with bolts paid for by the MCA. I added a bolt between 1-2 to reduce decking potential. Please note there are 5 bolts now instead of 4 so you don't run out of draws! I moved the 4th (now 5th) bolt a bit back to the left to straighten out the line (in retrospect i could have moved it a bit more but oh well). 2 of the bolts were the originals with SMC hangers placed by Jeff and Nate in 1990 (on lead because of the ethics of the time period, hence the wanderi... more >>

Comments: This route has experienced some recent breakage but still climbs just fine with no change to the grade. If you aren't super familiar with the start, a stick clip may be nice.

Comments: As an FYI the Minnesota Climbers Association is currently in the process of systematically updating aging hardware at Willow to new glue-in bolts more in line for this rock type. That being said, a bolt is only as good as the rock it is in. Be careful climbing over people. If you think there is a chance that you won't be able to stop tourists from walking underneath you on the routes nearer the waterfall...Stay off them for that day and come back when it's quieter. It is also important to n... more >>

Comments: Does anyone know if the Beck's RD closure is still in effect? I know it's supposed to be done in september...Is the climber parking lot accessible from I-35? If not how close to it can you get?

Thanks!
