Comments: My favorite route in the canyon, the start isn't bad in dry conditions, once above the first bolt it is text-book hueco moves to the top, on a sunny day sunglasses or a hat is helpful when moving out left from the shady corner start. The sun has been known to blind on this climb.

Location: CO : Estes Park Valley : Big Thompson Canyon : Combat Rock : Rambo Santa (5.7)

Comments: [Excellent] lead that keeps going, although 5.7 without small cams or protection the runout sections between bolts could scare the unprepared 5.7 leader. There are [plenty] of small slots to offer pro. Once at the anchors I lowered my belayer down, then rapped to the chains to the left and then rapped from those anchors. Someone without experience could run in to difficulties during the [descent].

Comments: Buddha's best route***, face moves about 20 ft to the roof, placing a small tcu or stopper directly below the roof is helpful but not a must. The roof consists of large jugs with a bolt in between them. Easier 5.9 moves to the anchors.

Location: CO : Gunnison : Hartman Rocks : Beginner's Slab : Ferringy (5.7)

Comments: Perhaps the [easiest] on the slab, more crack moves to jibs [guarding] the anchors.

Location: CO : Gunnison : Hartman Rocks : Beginner's Slab : Devil's Spine aka Bajorn (5.7)

Comments: Very easy to locate, the vertical quartz crystal vein that is about an 2 inches wide, easy moves the whole way up, nothing harder then a 5.7.

Location: CO : Gunnison : Hartman Rocks : Beginner's Slab : Cardassian (5.9)

Comments: First off [excellent] name for the slab, [beginner] says it all, this 5.9 is quick and over before you know it. Juggy arete start leads to, [stretchy] face climbing moves to anchors. Good first moderate lead.
