| This is taken from the top of the 2nd pitch of the Army Route (Pinnacle). Can anyone confirm if this is the 1st middle buttress or if I"m off by one? (I believe this south, south-west of the pi | CO : Colorado Springs : ... : South Ridge (5.6) | | Jun 10, 2003 |

Location: CO : Colorado Springs : Garden of the Gods : Kindergarten Rock : South Side Topropes (5.6) By: Ben Glover When: Jun 16, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: Sorry if this sounds preachy, but please use a top-rope setup from the anchors. I was out with a first-timer last weekend and noted that the set of eye-bolts i was using was already worn 1/4 of the way through the bolt.
(And realistically 99% of people reading this site are already concientious enough to use a top-rope setup. I just hate seeing people saw through the bolts on popular routes like C-Gap and West Point Crack)
I'll get off the soap-box now.

Location: CO : Colorado Springs : North Cheyenne Canyon : 1st Middle Buttress : South Ridge (5.6) By: Ben Glover When: Jun 10, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: Blame the lack of sleep or the crack. I meant that this is looking north-by-northwest (from the south-east side of the pinnacle)

Location: CO : Colorado Springs : North Cheyenne Canyon : 1st Middle Buttress : South Ridge (5.6) By: Ben Glover When: Jun 10, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: Does anyone know if the picture below is of the 1st middle buttress? I want to say that this shot was looking south by south-west from the top of the 2nd pitch of the Army route on the pinnacle (I think I"m one buttress off because its a touch west, but thought I'd ask before going on an epic)

Location: CO : Colorado Springs : North Cheyenne Canyon : The Pinnacle : The Men Arete (5.8) By: Ben Glover When: Jun 4, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: I really should wait until I get on the route again (which was supposed to be today, rain). However I want to say that the rating could reflect different variations at the crux. Particularly that the right side of the bolt line is a bit steeper and with less features than the left side (which features a conveniently placed bush, though its debateable if that's on-route for those ticking low-mid grade sport routes. sadly, like me).

Since I haven't climbed the routes, and know nothing about them I'll take liberally from the authors (working L to R, after Climbing by the Brooks:
