Comments: The church buttress is the biggest, best piece of rock up there. What a shame. Ferguson is actually pretty good if you go up there when it isn't full of idiots. The vaults don't need to be anywhere.

Comments: Nick, yes, the great chimney in the right conditions can be a good ice/winter climb. Like ddriver said, probably better in march or april when snow conditions are consolidated. I have done it in the winter before, and had great sections of mixed ice and rock. Be cautious of avalanche conditions, the approach and climb are exposed to avalanche hazard.

Comments: My apologies as well... I hate all the internet negativity (although I produce some myself, usually after a few too many beers.)

CLIMBING WAS WAY FUNNER BEFORE THE INTERNET!

Comments: I used to be fairly active on this site, and post my new routes so reasonable people could have access to that info... but it is because of people like jsnstwrt and angelmarrott and others from the "entitlement generation" that I now keep my new routes to myself and my friends, and the reason I have been deleting route info I previously posted on Mtn project. It's a real shame that what started as a way to share information and route info has mainly become a resource for bashing people we don't... more >>

Comments: for me the best parts of most of the climbs are the walks to get to them... at least I don't have to be scared on the walks.

Comments: Another No vote here. In fact it is completely unthinkable. Like Nacho said, if you gotta bail for some reason, leaving a couple nuts behind is not a big deal. Installing rap anchors up there would be a huge dis-service to the climbing community.

Comments: I'm only kidding... I just didn't know what to grade it after doing it. I know the moves around the 4th or 5th bolt are pretty blank, and I remember that the feet disappear for a move or two there.

Comments: Thanks Dr. Apnea... I climbed the Center Face again with my wife last year and we stubbed our toes on about 20-30 bolts. We did not use the bolts for protection, and in fact there was not a single bolt where I didn't have bomber clean gear within 2-3 feet(I took photos while standing there on the lead, so placing the gear isn't too difficult either). I was following the natural protection of the Center Face and only once for about 25 feet did I deviate from the bolt line to get gear. "Down, ... more >>

Comments: you've got to be kidding me!! a bolted anchor for that 15 foot rappel that you can walk around. Super lame. Why are all these climbs that used to not have bolts on them keep sprouting bolts?? WTF.
