Comments: Like the description says above, stay in the dark timber/drainage on the edge of north side of the talus field for the approach. Once you encounter the cliff band, traverse along its base to the climb. The approach takes about an hour.

Comments: Did this climb about six years ago. On the final approach the slope was whomping, moving, and settling all around us as we wallowed and swam uphill to the base. It would be a pretty spectacular setting for an avalanche. Better bring your snowshoes.

Comments: Park at the "Vertical Heartland" parking lot and make sure to register. The approach is about 10 minutes. Camping is available just a little further down Lick Creek Road at Twin Bluffs Bed n' Breakfast. The proprietors Neil and Laurie will let you camp in their field for a nominal donation. They also have a bunkhouse with fireplace for winter climbers.

Casting my vote to combine Coal Creek Canyon with Golden, and Eldora with Boulder to help clear up the site. Looking forward to the Ice link.
