Comments: Interestingly, I have not seen a spider yet. I wonder what time of year that was? This place seems to have the highest concentration of moderate problems (v2-v6) in the Jemez. Additionally, most of these problems have way too much cleaning to be a first ascents, though certainly not all. There is a half inch thick plate over most of the rock that is easy to break off. Once the loose plate is removed, the rock yields great climbing. These are not back country ascents, you can drive your car rig... more >>

Comments: Great new route Lance!! Very unique for tower climbing. Powerful moves and a no hands off width rest! very cool. We need climbs in the shade here in NM, so thanks. I had no problem following the line. I at one point touched a hold from Jabber and finished the last bolt on Rumple. Still, the line was primarily independent and once it cleans up it should rival it's neighbors.

Comments: Thanks Jason, perhaps that information on the introduction page will help. I think donated wag bags would help too. ON another note, perhaps we could encourage people to camp at the datil well campgound as well? I know this has become the preferable alternative to some ABQ climbers and it makes some sense. The toilets are already there and they are only 15 minutes away. Maybe a mention of this in the intro as well. I am sure that some people would rather do this than pack out their poo.
