Comments: "Lifestyles" is on the opposite side of the boulder, not sure why this photo is posted here.

Comments: Slaton, sounds like you were on the problem to the right of Puss Gut. It has no name that I'm aware of.

Comments: Updated the grade to V6, which I also feel is appropriate. Given V7 in the e-guide. Personally I like to do this problem without the skirt. Start matched in the first hueco, bring your feet up to the roof and go from there.

Comments: Jeremy, I have also been chased down by the camp host for "speeding." That was about three years ago. I doubt they are trying to deter climbers specifically because that parking is also used for the popular Sandy's Canyon hike. I'm not sure why they're so hostile about it. They're probably just bored. It's probably best to just humor the hosts and take it slow through the campground.

Comments: For the record, most people start at the fingerlocks in the crack. The SDS adds a couple moves but no real difficulty.

Comments: The website is dead, but you can still get the e-guide in CDR format from Vertical Relief. This area is included in A Cheap Way to Fly and I have seen a fold-up topo as well, check with VR or other AZ climbing shops to find them.

Comments: A big block came off the top section of this problem in the past year or so, leaving a juggy bowl where there were once slopers and reducing the quality somewhat.

Location: AZ : Northern Arizona : Northern AZ Bouldering : Kelly Canyon : East Kelly Canyon : ... : The Traverse (V7-8) By: Andrew Ryder When: Aug 24, 2010 | view comment >> |
Comments: It is possible to top this out, though a brush and/or broom is highly advised. The traditional ending is to drop from the jug left of the tree. The difficulty of this traverse seems to be dependent upon whether certain key holds are coated in slimy moss.

Location: AZ : Northern Arizona : Northern AZ Bouldering : Buffalo Park : Block Arete (V4) By: Andrew Ryder When: Jun 24, 2010 | view comment >> |
Comments: The problem around the corner (sidepull features, high crux and bad landing) is V5-ish and might be the one listed as Block Roof in Toula's guide, I really don't know. There are definitely many variations and eliminates on this boulder.

Comments: The Draw is all Kaibab limestone, though features like these are pretty uncommon.

Comments: there are two variations possible here, I thought The Underachiever referred to the one heading left slapping out the belly while this problem goes right through the pockets.

Comments: One of the good lip holds on Dope Lounge was broken off recently during a week of rain. Please DO NOT climb here shortly after heavy rain or snow. The rock is soft and easy to break when it is soaked.

Comments: Because Flagstaff is full of honemasters, and wiring something into submission doesn't mean it's any easier grade-wise. Wifebeater is not a V5.

Location: NV : Red Rock : Kraft Boulders : The Cube : Perfect Poser (V2 R) By: Andrew Ryder When: Mar 17, 2009 | view comment >> |
Comments: Is this the big easy line on the side facing the mountain? If so - this problem has great, slightly technical moves on good edges and jugs with lots of air. I don't know about the V2 grade, nor the R rating, since the landing is good and easy to pad/spot. This is probably the best downclimb off this boulder.
