Comments: Lost a zip-up stuff sack and a bag of BD chalk at the crag today. Went back, and it was gone. Let me know if you picked it up. andrewkyleriley@gmail.com

Comments: I heard about some drama that went down at Namphapayai, I'm guessing the user 'deeppain' might have been the person who was screwed over. Anyway, thanks for putting it back to normal.

Comments: What is going on with this page? "Shamed crag, skip it" I don't think this is the way you want to make a personal statement.

Comments: Fun and cruxy at the end. I'd agree at 12c if not even a little softer.

Comments: This route finally went down today, around 4 years after Tyler bolted it. Such an amazing line, what a beast. I really wanted it to be Myanmar's first 5.13, but we'll have to settle for Myanmar's first 7C? It's essentially the first 70 feet that go at 12b and the last 70-80 feet that go at 12c/d?, with several rests thrown in there. I've only climbed a few other routes of this difficulty, and none of them endurance routes. I am very curious to hear more opinions on the grade.

Comments: I've only climbed it once, and it was dirty and a little loose. I'm sure it will clean up as others climb it.

Comments: The finish is so rad, made me want to pee my pants every time I climbed up that last panel to the anchor.

Comments: Just wanted to note on here, that expansion bolts near the ocean have a tendency to be unreliable after a few years due to stress corrosion cracking (scc) in the bolts. Beware when climbing these routes, and climb at your own risk. climbing.com/people/built-to-l...

Comments: Just bolted this line in Hpa-An, one of my favorites in Myanmar. I am really interested in hearing opinions on the grade. From my estimation it's 5.10+ climbing with a well-protected V5ish boulder problem thrown in the middle.

Comments: Knocked a couple of big blocks off of this route on lead this weekend. I'm not convinced that this route is one that will really clean up, the loose sections feel more like compacted dirt than rock. My honest advice is to avoid it unless you have nothing left to climb.

Comments: Respectfully disagree about the quality of the new routes. Two of the 5.11s to the far left were my favorite at Crazy Horse. Also, the utility of the Heart Wall page would be greatly improved if the routes were listed in order from left to right with expanded descriptions and photos.

Comments: Spent some time trying the moves and scrubbing the dust, grime, and loose rock off of this route yesterday, ended up getting the surprise send today for the FA. Great climb and great addition, now that there is chalk on the holds and hangers on the bolts. Several bouldery sequences on the route. I can't wait to start trying the extension.

Comments: Saya means teacher in Myanmar language. Saya Steve means teacher Steve. It's named after Steve Brian who catalyzed the first bolting/climbing effort in Myanmar, as mentioned above.

Comments: I didn't see them, but we were just climbing by headlamp. It's possible they are laying around somewhere at the base. Also, just to clarify, the bolt and hanger were completely missing. It's not like the bolt was chopped or broken off, there is a completely clean hole where the old bolt was.

Comments: Thanks Steve. I think you're right, and I would also love to see more of the harder climbs at WFH getting a little bit more love in general.

Comments: Tyler told me that he bolted this, but never climbed it. I don't think anyone from TCCM has climbed it in the interim, so my climb today was probably the FA. If it's not let me know and I'll update the info. Overall, I don't think I would climb it again, but it was okay. "I am Made of Rice" is much more enjoyable.

Comments: Finally got the FA of this line today! After getting completely rained out on our last trip up to Mandalay, I sent it on my 8th day on. Named it the Firefly Engagement to honor Tyler Hoffart's original name Firefly and also because I was projecting this route when I proposed to my fiance at the monastery at the top of Waterfall Hill.

As for the grade, I think it's harder than any other 5.12c I've sent; however, I think the FA process of finding the beta, cleaning and chalking the hol... more >>

Comments: First of all take the first right turn you see when you're heading up the trail. When we were there, there were climbing ropes tied along the trail. This takes you to the base of the crag. It shouldn't be much more than a 5 minute approach. Secondly, we went to Monkey Buttress on a trip to HK in June/July. During this time of year there are a bunch of HUGE spiders (as big as your face) that make webs across the trail. I'm not sure if they're poisonous, but just an FYI. Also take a lot of mosquit... more >>

Comments: I traversed in from the left on this, and the slippery traverse felt harder than the actual prow. Also, I think the sport grade of 5.8 might make more sense than v1/2. Regardless, this was probably the most memorable thing I climbed at LD.

Comments: Guidebook says .11c. It felt harder than that to me, but conditions were very hot and humid. Great Route, after the crux there are several places to ease the pump.
