Comments: This route is stellar. A little gardening would be nice on the lower 25 ft. Good gear and closely spaced bolts make for a good time. A little soft for the grade, more like 11+/12- through the crux with thoughtful, reachy climbing on decent holds to a mellow finish. Another excellent route on this section of cliff.

Comments: This is a fantastic route that has good gear all the way, definitely not R rated.

Comments: Thanks, Randall, it seemed like an obvious addition to the area. There is so much potential for development here, it's hard to know where to begin. Thanks for all your hard work here, the routes are great!

Comments: With proper use of runners, this is a nice long pitch with little rope drag. 8-10 shoulder length runners would do it.

Comments: This route can go all on gear with some exciting but easy run-outs. The opening moves begin left of the right-facing corner at an undercut with jugs, just below a thin splitter. You can place a good puple C3 to protect the opening 5.10 moves, and then it's runout 5.9 up to the roof where you can plug in a variety of gear, the safest being purple and green C3s on the right side, below the roof crux. The roof feels V3ish and the climbing eases above with intermittent gear in horizontals (1.5-2.... more >>

Comments: There is a hard project line that leaves My Favorite Human at the 2nd bolt and heads straight up through the bulge (this was the original line I envisioned but could never climb, even on TR) . I never finished bolting the bulge, but there are top anchors for the route that can be accessed relatively easily after climbing MFH.

Comments: Jesse, what about the BLM land below Might Mouse? That would be close to a multitude of crags on both sides of the canyon.

Comments: I bolted these routes a couple months ago. Left to right:
1) Lady Boy Show, 5.8+, mixed route.
2) Throbbing Gristle Project, feels like 12b-ish, never redpointed.
3) Crab Head Poseidon God, 5.11b/c.

They all have top anchors and are technically on the far left of Upper Mothers (per Randall Chapman).

There are also 2 old trad lines between Lady Boy Show and Throbbing Gristle that clock in at 5.9+ and 5.9.

Comments: Most of these boulders were climbed long ago, so unless Ryan climbed this 20 years ago, it was probably not an FA.

Comments: I broke a hold on this above the bolt, making a difficult sequence much harder. I'm considering dynamiting this part of the wall just to be done with this thing....

Comments: Keep in mind Baum has some big mitts. I remember the route being physical but fun, on par for most 10s in the canyon.

Comments: The main trail leading from 141 to the crags heads east (left) at an obvious, cairned boulderfield. Continue east to access Elysium and Chimneying 101 area. The trail to the left routes (Scrappy Mouse, etc) goes down hill from the Magna Mater Spire for ~150 ft and heads east to the base of All Your Mite.

Comments: I'm not sure about the grade on this one, 11+/12- is a ballpark. Rough, techy crux sequence. A stick-clip is handy for the start.

Comments: There is now a well marked trail from the base of the Magna Mater Spire that continues downhill and heads east to the base of All Your Mite and the other routes on the left side.

Comments: As Other Mothers has become more popular, a sort of spiderweb of trails has begun to show up below the area. I think an actual trail splitting from the Lower Mothers trail and heading to Others would decrease impact and just make sense.

Comments: The North V1 sit starts below the central flake with a sort of double knee-bar and goes straight up. The left arete is also a good line.

Comments: Got on this to beef up the anchor and discovered that most of the cracks in the chimney are filled with mud. Pretty nasty in there, not recommended!

Comments: After the gate is locked on Land's End, you may still be able to access the areas from CO Highway 65 (I'm not sure where the gate is on top). I was climbing on Paleosol Wall until the end of November, and as long as the temps were in the 50s in GJ, it stays pretty comfortable. Keep in mind locating the rap stations can be more than a little sketchy with snow on the ground!

Comments: Great route with well-protected cruxes. Some thought provoking distance between the bolts on the easier sections. The rock was much better than expected, more solid than many climbs in the Colorado National Monument. We rappelled the route with a 60 meter rope and had no problems.

One of my favorite multi-pitch slabs, up there with Davis Face in Buena Vista.
