Comments: Went up to do ICBM yesterday (01.17.10) but the previous days warm weather really toasted it. It was completely free hanging and not touching down enough for me to get on it. The top was huge so a couple of cold days should do it. Is it okay to call dibs on the FA lead if no one's done it?
Comments: it's at least 3 miles out to the amphitheater... I hiked out with Eric Marshall on 01.17.10 and it was a long slog for not very tall ice. maybe in the spring this place would be good after everything else comes down from the sun.

Comments: No offense taken at all. I'm simply playing the neutral position. I see everyone's point of view here. I also think it gets down to a level of outdoor ethics. What is appropriate to some one may not be to another. ie: bolting, fixed anchors, cementing tags with the names and grade at the bottom of each route (R.R.G.,) have a latter for route access (Waimea,) using chalk (not allowed in some European ranges.) Purism is purism I guess.
