Comments: This is like the time Justin Timberlake was canyoneering behind one of my partners in Neon Canyon. Shirtless and captured on tape in southern Utah! Except that was real and not a movie. ;)

Comments: For me this route felt much harder than After the Fall so I was surprised to see a lot of people up-rating AtF but maintaining the 5.9 grade here. I felt it was the reverse (WoF feeling closer to 10a or 10-). This route offered a lot of rattly fingers and flaring hand-sized pods and butt-cracks which felt really insecure at times.

The gear is not finicky to place for the most part, but in order to minimize rope drag and avoid hollow rock you have to give some thought to where, what, and how to ... more >>

Comments: Despite people posting that you can "only" get off-route on pitch 1, 7, or 1,000, we found the hardest route-finding to be at the very top! Starting at pitch 9, apparently our belay was not far enough right. Due to our error, it would seem that the belay must be moved very far right at this point - past an obvious place where the pitch seems to start via a straight-up crack and a left-trending ramp that converge at a constriction, both of which can and have been climbed (and where a fix... more >>

Comments: Yes, this is a #5 Camalot C4 and therefore similar in range to the old 4.5.

Comments: Kellen, please don't TR a constantly-busy classic like this. It is just bad etiquette. Give your wife a chance to learn to clean gear and second long pitches and then take her up it. It will be a much better time for all.

Comments: Really disappointed at the amount of trash I found on my latest trip. Most of it seemed concentrated around the Corral Crags. This leads me to believe it is probably coming from climbers. PACK IT OUT FER CHRISSAKES! You are right next to your damn car!

Comments: I personally wanted a #5 Camalot on this route for the (relatively) short, wide section. You can walk it a bit. If you anticipate this route to be a piece of cake, however, you probably won't need it.

I did not find the corner up higher to be "thin hands" but more like perfect golds.

I agree with Chris Archer on the top-out moves. Very awkward getting to the anchor and pretty hard.

Comments: It's been many years since I was there and I have no good beta for the exact location. This area would offer adventure climbing for sure, though...probably not for the faint of heart or hiking-averse.

Comments: You can also supplement protection with some .5 Camalots in the left-hand crack (sling em out).

I didn't find the size to become baggy golds til the top. The last 20-30 feet was also the crux for me, although the start is no give-away either.

Comments: I almost didn't bring the #4 but I was actually really glad to have it on pitch 1 and pitch 3.

I don't think we needed four purple Camalots at any time. I think three would be more than enough...even for the seamstresses out there. You should be more concerned about carrying extra greens.
