Comments: Hard to capture the angle from the belay but is it certainly not a slab. It is quite steep. Probably the pumpiest 9 ive ever been on, though none of the moves are that hard. I did fumble with my gear longer than I should have though, which didnt help.

Comments: Agreed, This is, I believe, where the guide has the pitch end. This photo was taken for the Access Fund Conservation Team. Frankly, this belay makes a better shot and its nice to be able to see your partner cruxing up the steep section.

Comments: I'm with Mike, this climb is great. Easily one of the best 9's I've done anywhere!!! Great exposure, great movements, great stone, great views, just great all around!

Comments: I have never finished this climb by following the crack all the way to the end, but I would recommend the "finger crack" standard finish. It, for me, was the crux and probably the most fun section of the entire climb.

Comments: Ive been on a multi pitch rap at stone mountain in NC with the same conditions... lightning and waterfalls everywhere and an inch and a half or two inches of water rushing over your feet. Scary but exhilarating. when we got down, where the wall met the ground was a massive cascading waterfall. When we got to the the field right below the sun shines through the clouds and deer walked out into the meadow. Good Times!

Comments: Saw this from the road for years always looking at that dihedral. Not a classic by any means but some fun moves. Lots of pine needles in the crack and a couple loose large hand/footholds on the right side that could reach the road with a good bounce.

Comments: Ive actually placed 2 small flaring cam placements in the small crack to the right of the offwidth just to see them walk out after being mostly up the pitch. I too remember the old hangerless bolt. ahh the days.
