Comments: This place looks pretty cool. A nice addition to the EP climbing scene. Where can I pick up a bagful of "Fallstoppers"? Does the Mountain Shop carry these?

Comments: More fun than T-Rect. TRed this, so don't really have any comments on leading it, but the difficulty was a bit higher than T-Rect.

Comments: I felt this was a lot of 5.5 friction climbing with a short 5.7 crux. Bolts were well spaced. I didn't feel the distance between bolts 2 and 3 was unreasonable as the climbing was easy, but if you fell you probably would hit the ground.

Comments: Would be an easy first lead for someone. The first two bolts are kind of pointless, though. I don't think they actually protect much of anything.

If you approach from the Baldpate Inn, across Rt. 7 from Lily Lake, you stay on National Forest land the entire day. The Wizard's Gate, being on the southern end of the Crags, is probably most efficiently approached from the Twin Sisters trail but it's not that much faster than the Baldpate approach. Comments: Transverse is fun but contrived between bolts 2 and 3. Easy after that. I would say its 5.9ish at the crux but 5.6 everywhere else.

Comments: Has chains at the top and is a really fun route. Don't let the description scare you away from it. Must have been dirty in its past, but traffic has cleaned it up well.
