Human Oddity 5.12a Auburn. One of the, if not THE, best sport climb in the Sac/Bay Area IMO.

Comments: Actually Seth, the original name was War of the Walls given by Jay Smith. You can find it's last correct printing in the Harlin guide. Only later in subsequent guides (namely the Cottrell guide) was it mis-pronounced and well received as "Wall of the Worlds". That's strait from Jay Smiths mouth.

Comments: I think (actually I'm pretty sure) you have the name of this route wrong. It's "Wall of the Worlds."

Comments: You'll know you're on the right trail when you see a telephone pole with the number 41 spray-painted on it just to the right of the trail

The pole on the approach trail is number 40 not 41.

Comments: This climb and others nearby have 3/8" bolts and modern hangers. Gear is not necessary. Bolts are about 30 feet apart. The belay stations are close (half pitch apart) so you can link them to save time with a 60m rope, then rappel with just one rope! Yeah!

Comments: The climb called Knobby Wall is LEFT OF SURPRISE (the wide offwidth). Two 3/8 inch bolts with Fixe hangers are atop the climb.

Can be a hard start for such a low rated climb.

Comments: Brian,
I am not trying to be a sensor, but given the delicacy of the property situation, I think it would be best if we didn't add or post about the GW.
Thanks.

Comments: I concur with Aaron's previous post. The mantle move is straight-forward, airy, fun and should not be missed. It's also 5.7.
