Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Suicide Rock : Godzilla Face : Montezuma's Revenge (5.10b R) By: Chris Owen When: 5 days ago | view comment >> | Comments: Did this route a long time ago upon spying it from the descent. Thought it was Small Affair Direct! Realized it wasn't the previously mentioned climb when doing the "Toad's Lip Mantle" at the start of P2. I kept thinking "I must be screwing this up it doesn't feel like 5.8". Did the arete variation (5.10b R/X in the guidebook) Fred managed to find a spike to sling.

Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Tahquitz Rock : Northwest Recess : The Souvenir (5.10d R) By: GregoryH When: Oct 17, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: Route is fine with a 60m. one runout section(2nd pitch) of 5.9 after leaving the Dogleg but not bad. the crux slab is well protected. The third pitch is a little R but there are old pins to clip.
overall sweet route. I will second the fact that the slab can be just a tad grainy.
Most importantly, the route description completely misses the last two bolts of the second pitch. There are a total of SIX bolts on the second pitch.
Pitch 2-after leaving the dogleg, follow the thing crack/ seam to a... more >>

Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Tahquitz Rock : West Face Bulge Routes : Upper Bulge Routes : Super Pooper (5.10a/b) By: Tyler Logan When: Oct 11, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: The rope drag spoken of on the last pitch can be avoided. I linked most of pitch 2 and 3 together with a 60m rope (I belayed right before the runout-slab topout, at a sloping stance underneath the final overlap) and only stopped there because I ran out of rope, not because of rope drag. As you approach the short roof traverse on the third pitch (which immediately follows a section of liebacking up a 3" crack/corner), avoid the temptation to place gear during the last eight feet or so of the corn... more >>

Location: CA : Tahquitz & Suicide Rocks : Tahquitz Rock : West Face : West Face - Right Side : Traitor Horn (5.8) By: scottydo When: Oct 10, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: Had a blast on this climb. Just remember to place your pro well so your second doesn't have some crazy swinging fall if he takes one. If exposure doesn't bother you then this is a lot of fun. Didn't think that any of the moves onto or off the horn were too bad. Kind of bouldery type moves. Fun stuff!
