By: evd When: Sep 28, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: Be advised that although Zebra Rock is in a guidebook, it is on Walker Ranch Open Space. Myself and friend J. Auld were ordered off the cliffs in this area by a Boulder County Sheriff Deputy. He said nobody is allowed to hike off trail in Open Space. Tickets can and will be issued! Perhaps the county would someday be willing to let climbers access the cliffs with some provisions?

By: evd When: Sep 28, 2009 | view comment >> | Comments: To anyone who goes there: be advised that Gilpin County has an ordinance that is clearly posted and enforced that does not allow parking on the side of the road! This would force everyone to park at the tracks just across the county line. I like this area and would like to see it remain open and in that interest everyone who uses it is responsible for knowing the rules and regs. Hiking the tracks is clearly trespassing. The bolted routes on the main cliff were done by myself and friends in the early to mid nineties. They are from left to right...Mars Missle(10a), Hardman Junior (11a), Pica (12a), Don't Blame the Youth (13), Nocturnal Leg Muscle Cramp (11), Long Haired Freaky People (10).
